Let me show you how I make dinner the whole family will love in just 20 minutes!
The BEST part of Greek and Pesto Flatbread? Cutting corners to save you time without sacrificing on taste!
Quick tip #1: Purchase your flatbread instead of making it. I purchased my double pack from Walmart for a surprisingly low price. Buying pre-made flatbread saves a ton of time and cleanup!
Quick tip #2: Purchase your pesto from almost any grocery store, instead of making it from scratch. The same goes for your pizza sauce if you are making the Greek Flatbread.
Quick tip #3: Use a vegetable chopper/slicer to slice those veggies in no time! Here is one that I love to use. 4 in 1 vegetable chopper.
Quick tip #4: Purchase pre-sliced, shredded or crumbled cheese instead of the blocks. As a family, we go through a lot of cheese and this save so much time in the kitchen!
Look… If you haven’t tried Pesto on flatbread, you’re missing out!
Pesto is a versatile sauce originating from Genoa, Italy, renowned for its vibrant green color and aromatic flavors.
Made primarily with fresh basil leaves, pine nuts, garlic, Parmesan cheese, and olive oil, pesto packs a powerful punch of taste.
The combination of these ingredients results in a fragrant, herbaceous, and slightly nutty sauce that pairs exceptionally well with various dishes.
You can put any of your favorite ingredients on top. Get creative!
One of my top picks are flame roasted red peppers. The sweet and smoky notes make them an excellent topping for pizzas.
Don’t be afraid to purchase flame roasted red pepper from the store to save you a ton of time!
I also added arugula, mozzarella cheese and a drizzle of olive oil to really bring out the flavors.
Why not make two different kinds of flatbread!
I couldn’t make up my mind on what type of flatbread I wanted to make so I made two! The second one I made was a Greek inspired flatbread.
The combination of tomato pizza sauce, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, Kalamata olives, spinach, mozzarella cheese and crumbles feta, makes for a flatbread that is bursting with flavor!
Be adventurous and turn up the heat! Add some red chili flakes to your pizza to kick it up a notch!
